Street Youth
We are happy to inform you about our Street Youth Project. The first girl has recently joined the Project and already proudly announces to have gained weight! Her name is Attaa and she was selling water and sleeping in a kiosk with five
|
other girls. Why was she living on the streets? Her parents are farmers in the Volta Region. Attaa enjoyed four years of primary school after which she was kept at home to help in the kitchen and on the land. As she saw no future for herself being a farmer she came to Kumasi. Living on the streets was hard
and she was surrounded by bad company. So when she heard |
the Sisters mention our project she immediately took the opportunity to change her life around. In Kokobeng she now walks around laughing and singing, is an enthusiastic student and helps with other chores. As they say in Holland: a good start is half the work! We expect her to continue doing well and hope to welcome more girls like her. |

Soap
The workshop has produced the first batch of Soap which is currently being sold. With the revenue the teacher will buy new ingredients for the next batch. Three girls from the village and Attaa are learning to make Soap. Our volunteer/ intern is working on a new design which |
will be tested this week.We plan to make three different kinds of Soap. This to attract both the Ghanaian and the Dutch market.
We would like to thank our sponsors for making this Project possible! |
